Hey there -- I'm looking for tips! I just did a post about how you can recycle crocs (see: http://www.thebudgetecoist.com/archive/crocs-recycle-this). So I'm wondering if anyone out there knows of other clever items that have recycling programs aligned with them?
I'm a little late joining the green movement, and while I've always recycled the usual glass and plastic, I also try to recycle my empty printer ink cartridges as much as possible at Staples.
Great tip, Christiana. Whenever you purchase ink through HP, they include a postage-paid envelope to recycle the ink cartridge when used up.
Here are a few additional tips:
1) Contact Laser-Tone International, at (800) EARTH-58. Laser-Tone will pick up and deliver back to you, for free, laser and ink jet printer cartridges and other office products you wish to recycle and reuse.
2) Check out Environmental Laser, at (800) 442-8391, for more information on remanufacturing your old laser printer cartridge.
