1. Re-use printing paper when possible (flip it over to the blank side).

2. Shop vintage.

3. Unplug appliances such as microwaves and toaster ovens when not in use.

4. Re-use old toothbrushes for cleaning purposes. They’re so handy and it keeps them from going into the landfill!

5. Buy refillable soaps to prevent excess packaging from going into the landfill.

1. Save glass jars from food such as salsa, and re-use for storing leftovers and other purposes such as crafts.

2. Take public transportation or work from home one day a week. It saves gas and pollution!

3. Set your thermostat to 68 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and 62 degrees at night.

4. Use cold water when doing laundry (it saves energy when you don’t have to heat the water up).

5. Turn off lights when not in use

What I hate is the next morning hangover I get from staring at wads of tissue, shreds of paper and envelopes strewn about the living room.  It’s enough to make an eco girl go crazy.
