Simply Good Media:

Top 10 Organic Foods: Organic Food

February 1, 2008 posted in Organic Products

While we are a big fan of organic foods, we know it can be tough to be all organic, all the time. So, when faced with buying non-organic produce, it’s important to remember that some are treated with more pesticides than others.

A study by the Environmental Working Group’s Top Ten Foods to Eat Organically now can tell us where to look for alternatives to high-pesticide conventional produce when organics aren’t available. For example, strawberries are a great source of vitamin C, but also carry high levels of pesticides; blueberries or raspberries are great substitutes that still provide the high-vitamin content with less leftover pesticide. Print out this handy list and be sure to bring it with you the next time you shop for fresh fruits and vegetables.
