August 12, 2008 posted in Do Good

A new television spot airing in key battleground states that contrasts John McCain and Barack Obama's plans for dealing with America's energy crisis. In this week's news the National Sierra Club underscores maintains America cannot afford another president who sides with Big Oil instead of consumers.

Obama doesn’t talk about Nuclear, or coal, or any alternatives that help lower our dependency on middle eastern oil.  At least McCain understands realistic energy solutions. If we want more electricity, we can build windmills and solar panels, but nuclear is more reliable. If we want more heating fuel, how about more exploration for natural gas and conversion of coal to gas and oil.

My wife and I have donated to the Sierra club for years. Given this political opinion that promotes Obama, the socialist candidate with no ideas in my view, then the money we’ve sent to the Sierra club has apparently been wasted.

Not that we fund a lot, but there won’t be any more donations or memberships from this household.

We’ll support groups who do things to protect animals, and not to groups to support candidates with childish ideas about how to solve real energy problems.  Congress has held us hostage with their “no vote” plan for long enough. It’s time to move all these democrat tree huggers out of the way to get to some workable solutions that protect American citizens.
